About Us 

In 1975, at the age of 16, Bob Mutton started working out of his parent’s garage repairing outdoor power equipment for the general public. In 1976 this evolved into an outdoor power equipment company that over the years had franchises for International Harvester, John Deere, Ski-Doo, Toro, Stihl, Ariens, Bolen, Echo, Simplicity, Lawn-Boy, Honda. In 1986 Bob sold the outdoor power equipment business. He and his wife Linda started a tool and equipment rental company. They very quickly saw the future in the party and tent rental business. In 1991, Bob attended his first IFAI tent convention in Anaheim California, and made his first large tent purchase of an Anchor Century 60×100 tent. Things progressed from there. In 1998 Bob made the decision to auction off all the tools and rental equipment and focus only on the party and tent rental business. His Son Matt grew up in the business. In 2007 Matt graduated from college and took the position of the warehouse manager. Bob’s main goal was to work smarter not harder. He was always improving and finding better faster ways for handling inventory, shipping receiving, improving customer service, and providing clean quality inventory. Though the years he has developed many gadgets and equipment to simplify his business. In 2013 they purchase their first two Losberger 20-meter clear spans that change the direction their operation was going. In 2014 they purchase a trade show company to increase our off-season winter business and made many positive changes. In 2015 they outgrew their current location and moved into a larger warehouse facility. Things were changing at a fast pace and Bob’s Son Matt decided that he wanted to take over the operation with a long-term goal to buy the company. In 2017 Bob and Linda Mutton sold their company to son Matt who is now currently running the company. After a couple of years in retirement, Bob saw the need to improve a clear span tent installation. In 2019 he developed the Clear Span Tent Hoist. Matt Mutton at Mutton Party and Tent Rental has tested the product for over a year. Matt feels the Clear Span Tent Hoist is now ready for production. Bob set up a new corporation and applied for a patent. RAM Industries LLC is ready to ship the Clear Span Tent Hoist.
